Introduction:

Hello! And Welcome to my blog! I am just getting started here so bare with me while I continue to get more and more tutorials out there for you about Digital Scrapbooking! I decided that I would try to write up the basics of making Scrapbook Pages for those of you that I know, that don’t want to search around, and for those of you who just happen upon this web page! I am NOT an expert and I have only been going at this for about 6 months now. I learned most everything I know from my friend Lisa and many tutorials online! Hope this helps anyone out there trying to get started With Digital Scrapbooking!

Note: I have started taking a photography Courses and have also added a tab for anyone interested in editing photos in Elements. I am really just getting it started and would appreciate any feedback and things you would like to see on here for tutorials! You can contact me by clicking on the contact tab! Thanks Everyone!

PLEASE READ:

There are a couple different ways to get to where you need to go on here. Because this is a blog and not a website, I was having a little trouble figuring out how to keep everything in order from the first tutorial to the last. So, the tabs at the top will take you were you need go! You can also scroll down to the bottom and work your way up the page, but the other way is soo much easier!!

HOW TO GET STARTED:

There are many different programs out there to make Digital Scrapbooks with.  There are some that give you the pages and allow you to just basically put your photos into them (these usually cost money) and then there are programs that allow you to build from scratch.  This is what I am going to attempt to teach you!
I am familiar with two different programs, they both serve the same purpose, and I will try my hardest to make it easy for you to use both of them.
The first is called Gimp.  It is a FREE program that you can download from the internet at www.gimp.org  and the second is Photoshop Elements.  I am currently using the latest version of Photoshop Elements (or PSE as I will be referring to it from now on) which is Elements 9.  If you already have PSE and it is a different version, from what I am aware, you should still be able to follow along quite easily.  Some things may be in different areas than what I say, but if you look around, you should be able to find them! J
Like I said, both of these programs serve the same purpose, but if you want my personal opinion, Photoshop is SOO much easier to use!! I used Gimp up until about a month ago when I purchased PSE 9.  The time PSE saves me is worth the price of the program.  This, depending on where you are buying it, can range from 50 to 100.00 bucks.
Okay.  So- first things first, choose your weapon!
